🔥 Gündem ICC Reverses Demerit Point for Gaddafi Stadium Pitch

The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently rescinded a demerit point that had been imposed on Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan, following an appeal regarding its pitch rating ¹.

Details of the Appeal and Decision

The demerit point was initially given after a match where the pitch was deemed "unfit." However, upon review, a panel concluded that the condition of the pitch during that specific fixture was indeed dangerous, which is consistent with an 'Unfit' rating ¹. Despite this finding, the appeal resulted in the demerit point being removed.

Current Status of Gaddafi Stadium

Following this decision, Gaddafi Stadium currently has no demerit points ¹. In contrast, another venue, the Maple Leaf Cricket Ground, has three demerit points ¹. This indicates that while the initial assessment of the pitch's condition was upheld, the demerit point itself was rescinded, clearing Gaddafi Stadium's record in this regard.
