🔥 Gündem Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil War

Operation Safed Sagar was the codename for the Indian Air Force's (IAF) air operations during the Kargil War in 1999 ⁷. This mission ran from May to July 1999, in conjunction with the Indian Army's Operation Vijay ⁷. The operation was initiated after Indian patrols detected intrusions by Pakistani Army personnel and militants across the Line of Control in the Kargil, Drass, and Batalik sectors ⁷. The IAF was called upon to provide air support to the Indian Army, particularly in the challenging high-altitude mountainous terrain ⁵. A new Netflix series, "Operation Safed Sagar: The Untold Story of the Kargil War," starring Siddharth and Jimmy Shergill, brings to life the extraordinary sacrifices of the IAF's Golden Arrows Squadron during this conflict, and is set to premiere on August 7 ¹².
