🔥 Gündem Underscores - The Peace Lyrics

The song "The Peace" by underscores, released in 2026 on the album "U" ⁶⁸, features introspective lyrics that explore themes of connection, influence, and personal boundaries.

The intro sets a contemplative tone with repetitive "Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah" phrases ¹. In the first verse, the artist recounts an experience in Brooklyn, walking into an unfamiliar house and reflecting on being "easily influenced" but not "addicted" ¹. A key moment involves a shared smoke, where the singer is offered to keep the pack if they promise something ¹. This act of sharing is symbolic, representing a brief, comforting connection, even if the other person remains a stranger ².

The chorus emphasizes a desire for peace and a cautious approach to interaction: "Yeah, I Don’t Speak Unless I’m Spoken To... Yeah, I Don’t Smoke Unless You’re Smoking Too... Yeah, I Just Wanna Keep The Peace With You" ⁷. This suggests a preference for reciprocal engagement and maintaining harmony ⁷. The lyrics further reinforce this idea with "And I Won’t Smoke Unless You Smoke Some More," indicating a willingness to share and connect on equal terms ⁷.
