Roy DeMeo was a notorious American mobster and a made man in the Gambino crime family, known for leading a highly violent crew responsible for a large number of murders ¹²⁶. His crew gained infamy for their brutal methods of killing and disposing of bodies, a practice that became known as "the Gemini Method" ¹.

DeMeo's crew is believed to have committed up to 200 murders, many of which were carried out by DeMeo himself ¹. Prosecutors described his crew as "the most violent crew ever prosecuted in federal court," highlighting their involvement in "wholesale murder" ². He was a cold and calculated killer who effectively turned murder into a full-time operation for the Gambino family, earning him epithets like "The Butcher of the Gambino Family" ⁶. Beyond killings, DeMeo was also accused of drug dealing ⁷.
